Lingual- What to Expect

Lingual orthodontic treatment is more complicated that traditional braces but provide the same excellent results with the added benefit of complete descretion- no one need ever know uyou are wearing braces.

We have over 160 lingual patients at Pearls. We have the experience and skills to make your lingual treament outcome the smile you always wanted.

Visit One- Records and labwork

At your first visit we take comprehensive records of your teeth.

• Photographs
• Plaster moulds
• Digital xrays
• Special moulds to make up your lingual braces

It take about 6 weeks for your braces to be made in Germany and sent back to us.

We also receive models of how your teeth will look at the end of treatment.

Visit Two- Placing the braces

• At your second visit we attach the braces to your teeth. This take about an hour. 
• We explain how to look after your braces.
• We provide you with a cleaning kit for your braces.

We will see you every 6-8 weeks to adjust your braces. Most visits will take about 30 minutes.

During these visits we will change the wires that are used to move your teeth and check your dental health.

Final Visit

Your last visit will take about an hour and a half.

During this visit we will remove the braces, polish your teeth.

Fit retainers, advise on your retention regime.

Post Care

We will continue to see you for a year after your braces have been removed. This is to ensure you are happy with your treatment and that you are happy with your retention regime.
